Distinguished Technology Strategist, Emerging Tech

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Distinguished Technology Strategist to lead its Emerging Technology function. Reporting to the VP & Fellow for Emerging Tech Trends & Priorities, you will shape the company’s long‑term product strategy by spotting, evaluating, and prioritising breakthrough technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess emerging technologies, trends, and market signals that could impact AVEVA’s platform strategy.
• Translate technical exploration into business‑relevant insights, strategic recommendations, and investment priorities.
• Partner with Fellows, product leaders, and R&D teams to align technology trends with the innovation roadmap.
• Develop clear technology points‑of‑view, frameworks, and playbooks for cross‑functional teams.
• Communicate findings across the organisation to enable informed decision‑making and alignment.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in technology strategy, emerging‑technology research, or a comparable technical leadership role.
• Proven ability to analyse complex technical topics and deliver actionable guidance.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across product, engineering, and research groups.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and executive audiences.
