Director/Senior Director, Strategy – Compass Payer

About the role

Veeva’s Compass Strategy team is looking for an entrepreneurial Strategist to lead the launch of Compass Payer, a high‑visibility product within the Compass suite. As the Strategy Lead you will act as the "CEO" of this line, owning its commercial success and shaping its market impact.

Key responsibilities

• Drive commercial execution by defining and leading the go‑to‑market plan, mapping key targets and partnering with Data Cloud Account Partners.
• Serve as the subject‑matter expert in customer meetings, articulating value, handling objections and demonstrating solutions.
• Influence the product roadmap by feeding market feedback to the Compass Payer development team.
• Enable sales and marketing through refined positioning, compelling messaging and scalable enablement.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in professional services, consulting, analytics or commercial services within life sciences.
• Deep expertise working with commercial teams and omnichannel customer‑engagement programs.
• Executive presence with proven ability to engage stakeholders from managers to C‑suite.
• Track record of translating customer pain points into product innovations.
• Exceptional analytical, critical‑thinking and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings and internal events.

Required skills

• Mastery of pharmaceutical commercial payer data sets (payer spine, backbone, bridging, formulary).
• Familiarity with industry benchmarks and platforms such as MMIT, Precision AQ, Fingertip Formulary, IQVIA.
