About the role
Servier, a privately‑held biopharmaceutical company in Boston, is seeking a senior leader to own the planning, governance and execution of its U.S. meetings and congress activities. The Director, US Meetings & Congresses will work across Commercial, Medical, Learning & Development and corporate functions to deliver high‑impact, compliant events that support strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Design and run a scalable operating model for U.S. meetings, events and congresses, including policies, SOPs and governance frameworks.
- Lead end‑to‑end planning and delivery of national sales meetings, leadership gatherings, product launches and award trips, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets and quality standards.
- Develop and manage comprehensive operational plans for national and global congresses, overseeing logistics, booth operations, staffing and on‑site execution.
- Select, onboard and manage external agencies and meeting‑management partners, establishing scopes of work, SLAs and performance metrics.
- Own the meetings and congresses budget, drive financial planning, forecasting and cost‑control while maximizing value.
- Partner with US leadership, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Compliance, Legal and Procurement to align execution and lead cross‑functional planning forums.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CMP) preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech meetings, congress operations or commercial operations within a highly regulated environment.
- Proven people‑leadership skills with ability to build and develop high‑performing teams.
- Deep knowledge of HCP compliance, transparency reporting and related regulatory requirements.
- Strong vendor and budget management capabilities with a focus on efficiency and value delivery.
