Director, Total Rewards

About the role

The Director, Total Rewards leads Enviva’s compensation, benefits, and payroll programs, ensuring they are competitive, equitable, and compliant with regulations. This senior HR leader partners with business and finance partners to align rewards strategies with the company’s People Strategy and overall objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and continuously improve Total Rewards policies, objectives, and initiatives.
• Partner with HR leadership, finance, and business leaders to align rewards programs with organizational priorities.
• Develop and administer compensation strategies, salary structures, incentive programs, job evaluations, and market benchmarking.
• Design, manage, and enhance employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, and retirement plans.
• Oversee payroll operations to ensure accurate, timely payments and regulatory compliance.
• Leverage HRIS platforms and HR technology to improve processes, reporting, and user experience.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in total rewards, compensation, benefits, and payroll.
• Strong ability to communicate programs and lead change management initiatives.
• Demonstrated expertise in aligning rewards strategies with business goals.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and regulatory filings.
