Director of Operations & Supply Chain

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Operations & Supply Chain to lead operational planning and supply chain execution across inventory, logistics, fulfillment, vendor management, customer experience, and operational strategy. This full‑time contractor position will be pivotal in supporting rapid growth, building scalable infrastructure, and delivering best‑in‑class processes for DTC, wholesale, and retail channels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end supply planning aligned with demand forecasts, translating sales and launch plans into inventory and procurement requirements.
• Own supplier strategy, manage vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost‑efficient, scalable service levels.
• Optimize fulfillment operations for DTC and B2B, oversee transportation, warehousing, and global logistics including import/export compliance.
• Partner with Finance and Product teams on Sales & Operations Planning to balance service levels, inventory, and working capital.
• Establish and track operational KPIs (OTIF, inventory turns, forecast accuracy) and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Oversee customer support operations to improve satisfaction and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading end‑to‑end supply chain and operations in fast‑paced consumer environments.
• Ability to partner closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Strategic thinker who can also execute hands‑on operational initiatives.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions.
• Track record of building scalable processes and managing vendor relationships.
