Director of Finance

About the role

The Director of Finance will lead the FP&A function for a complex, data‑driven organization in the United States. This senior, hands‑on position is responsible for turning financial data into actionable insights that guide executive decision‑making and strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing FP&A team, ensuring quality, prioritization, and execution discipline.
• Own the end‑to‑end FP&A cycle: budgeting, forecasting, monthly and quarterly reporting, and close support.
• Establish and maintain the financial planning calendar, aligning timelines and deliverables across stakeholders.
• Consolidate and deliver financial plans covering revenue, expenses, cost structure, and headcount.
• Produce executive‑level reporting, including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and performance commentary for senior leadership and the board.
• Partner with business leaders to support resource allocation, decision‑making, and performance management.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance forecasting accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.
• Support strategic analysis, scenario modeling, and ad‑hoc executive requests.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive finance or FP&A experience, including leadership of teams.
• Proven ability to lead monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A cycles in complex organizations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a track record of translating data into actionable insights.
• Experience delivering executive‑ready reporting and partnering with senior leadership.
• Advanced financial modeling capabilities and deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
