Director of Engineering Delivery – Power Generation & Gas-to-Power

About the role

Candid is building an AI layer for EPCs and owner‑operators to accelerate pre‑construction engineering. As Director of Engineering Delivery you will lead real project delivery for power‑generation and gas‑to‑power clients while shaping the AI tools that automate core workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Direct Pre‑FEED and FEED engagements across power generation, gas‑to‑power, LNG, midstream and downstream projects.
• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team (process, electrical, mechanical, piping), setting quality standards and ensuring end‑to‑end delivery.
• Own the assembly and quality of design basis packages, heat and mass balances, single‑line diagrams, equipment lists, P&IDs, PFDs, datasheets, utility summaries and gate‑review packages.
• Serve as the authoritative engineering voice in client conversations with project development managers, VPs of Projects and heads of engineering.
• Collaborate with product and AI teams to translate manual Pre‑FEED/FEED workflows into automation targets.
• Act as the quality gate for automated outputs, providing feedback to improve the product.
• Advise on execution strategy, PDRI scoring and gate‑review readiness.
• Shape Candid’s delivery methodology and standards as the practice scales.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in capital‑project execution, with deep exposure to power generation, gas‑to‑power, LNG, midstream or petrochemical facilities.
• Hands‑on experience in Pre‑FEED and FEED phases, including design basis development and gate‑review processes.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and deliver high‑quality technical deliverables.
• Comfortable rolling up sleeves to produce deliverables when needed.
