About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks a senior academic leader to serve as Director of the School of Counseling, Human Performance, and Rehabilitation. This tenured, 12‑month position provides overall oversight of the school’s programs, ensuring academic quality and compliance with accreditation standards.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor accreditation and assessment standards for all school programs.
- Provide comprehensive management of the School, including budgeting, staffing, and curriculum development.
- Collaborate with College and University offices to align initiatives and support institutional goals.
- Prepare and submit required reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Fulfill teaching and research duties appropriate to an Associate or Full Professor.
Required profile
- Terminal degree in a discipline within counseling, human performance, or rehabilitation.
- Experience at the associate or full professor level, preferably with tenure.
- Demonstrated ability to lead an academic unit and manage accreditation processes.
- Strong record of scholarly activity and professional service.
- Residency in the Greater Little Rock area for the duration of employment.
