Director, Investor Relations and External Communications

About the role

Precision AQ is seeking a Director to lead Investor Relations and External Communications for its biotechnology and healthcare clients. The role provides strategic counsel to C‑level executives, oversees the creation of high‑impact communication materials, and drives the execution of investor engagement programs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client calls and advise senior executives on investor messaging, market positioning, and engagement strategies.
• Develop, review, and quality‑control investor presentations, press releases, earnings materials, and data readouts.
• Design and manage roadshows, investor meetings, and other events, including on‑site support and occasional travel.
• Oversee research projects such as consensus modeling and targeting analyses.
• Maintain client relationships across 7‑10 accounts, balancing leadership and mid‑level support.
• Manage retainers, invoicing accuracy, and achieve a 90% utilization target for client billing.
• Train, mentor, and grow high‑performing teams while championing DEI principles.
• Support business development by creating marketing materials, identifying new opportunities, and cultivating relationships with investors, analysts, and bankers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in investor relations or external communications within biotech, healthcare, or related sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to advise senior leadership and manage multiple client accounts.
• Strong track record of delivering high‑quality communication deliverables on time.
• Excellent analytical mindset with knowledge of industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics.
• Leadership experience in building and mentoring teams.
