Director, Customer Insights & Research

About the role

SKIMS is seeking a strategic and highly experienced Director, Customer Insights & Research to lead the consumer research function, bring the voice of the customer into critical business decisions, and build a comprehensive understanding of SKIMS customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead an enterprise‑wide consumer research and Voice of Customer strategy aligned with key growth priorities.
• Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies, including interviews, focus groups, surveys, ethnographic studies, concept testing, and usability studies.
• Build and maintain an integrated Voice of Customer program that combines direct feedback, social listening, digital behavior, and transactional data.
• Synthesize complex findings into clear, actionable business recommendations and executive‑ready presentations.
• Partner with cross‑functional leaders in merchandising, design, digital, marketing, retail, and analytics to embed insights into product development, pricing, positioning, and customer experience.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in consumer research, customer insights, market research, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience leading research teams or major cross‑functional research programs.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and translate insights into commercial and product decisions.
• Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, anthropology, behavioral science, marketing, statistics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
