Director, Capital Projects

About the role

The Director, Capital Projects leads a regional team responsible for renovating multifamily properties acquired by Greystar. This remote position oversees construction, financial, and reporting aspects of each project, ensuring delivery on time and within budget while coordinating with equity partners and senior leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, specifications, hard‑cost estimates and budgets for renovation projects.
• Lead bid processes: prepare requests, evaluate proposals, negotiate and approve contracts with contractors and service providers.
• Manage day‑to‑day project execution, conduct site inspections, and resolve issues that affect schedule or cost.
• Ensure compliance with state and local building codes, permits and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain ongoing communication with executive team, owners, equity partners and other key stakeholders, providing regular updates on schedule, budget and risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading construction or renovation projects for multifamily residential assets.
• Strong financial acumen to manage budgets, review invoices and report variances.
• Ability to recruit, develop and supervise project teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with senior leadership and external partners.

• Competitive base salary ranging from $105,000 to $135,000 per year.
