Dietitian/Nutritionist Supervisor – Columbus

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Dietitian/Nutritionist Supervisor to lead nutrition services at the West Central Georgia Regional Hospital in Columbus. This position works under broad supervision to design, implement, and evaluate food service and nutritional programs that promote health and disease control for patients and the community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and conduct food service and nutritional programs that support health promotion and disease management.
• Provide nutritional assessment, education, and counseling to individuals, groups, and the public.
• Act as a resource on nutrition and dietetics for nurses, health educators, and other healthcare providers.
• Develop, recommend, and document individualized nutritional care plans and monitor patient progress.
• Lead and supervise the nutrition team, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and regulations.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of clinical experience in nutrition or dietetics, preferably with behavioral health populations.
• Current licensure in the State of Georgia or ability to obtain licensure upon hire.
• Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to conduct nutrition assessments, provide education, and counsel patients effectively.
