Diesel Mechanic – Full-Time

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Diesel Mechanic to join its San Antonio Service Center. You will work on a variety of fleet equipment, ensuring reliable operation of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related assets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and both minor and major repairs on diesel engines.
• Service Class 8 trucks, trailers, forklifts, overhead doors, lift gates, and dollies.
• Diagnose and repair air‑conditioning and electrical systems.
• Utilize Cetaris for work‑order management and documentation.
• Conduct welding tasks as required by location.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and work safely in a shop environment.
• Own set of professional tools.
• Class A CDL preferred, with experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks.
