Diesel Mechanic – Full-Time, $41.38/hr

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for its Milwaukee service center. The role involves maintaining a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on diesel engines, Class 8 trucks, trailers and forklifts.
• Maintain ancillary equipment such as overhead doors, lift gates, dollies and perform welding as required.
• Create and manage work orders using the Cetaris system.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of diesel mechanic experience, including work on Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and possess personal tools.
• Class A CDL holder preferred.
• Experience with AC and electrical systems.

Required skills

• Preventive maintenance on diesel engines.
• Major diesel engine repairs.
• Air‑conditioning system service.
• Electrical system diagnostics and repair.
• Use of Cetaris work‑order software.
• Trailer and forklift maintenance.
