Diesel Mechanic – Full-Time 3rd Shift

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Diesel Mechanic for its Oxford, MA service center. The position works the 3rd shift (1:00 am – 10:30 am, Monday‑Friday) and focuses on maintaining a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and major repairs on diesel engines.
• Service and repair trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and perform welding as needed.
• Diagnose and fix air‑conditioning and electrical systems.
• Use Cetaris software to create and close work orders.
• Maintain and troubleshoot forklifts and other auxiliary equipment.

Required profile

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and major diesel repairs.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lb and possess personal tools.
• Familiarity with trailer preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Preferred certification: LMMECH.
