About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for its Baltimore Service Center on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role works the 3rd shift from 12:00 am to 10:30 am, Monday through Friday, and includes paid time off after the first 90 days.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and forklifts, including major engine work.
- Maintain ancillary equipment such as overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and perform welding tasks as required.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
- Class A CDL holder with ability to drive Class 8 commercial trucks.
Required skills
- Diesel engine maintenance and major repair techniques.
- AC and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Cetaris work‑order software.
- Welding skills for equipment repairs.
