Diesel Mechanic – 2nd Shift (5 pm–3:30 am)

About the role

R+L Carriers has an immediate opening for a Diesel Mechanic at its Alexandria, IN Service Center. The role involves day‑to‑day maintenance of the company’s fleet, including preventative work and both minor and major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers and, when needed, forklifts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers and forklifts.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies and conduct welding as required.

Required profile

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Ability to handle major diesel repairs.
• Experience with air‑conditioning and electrical systems.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb.
• Own set of tools.
• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
