Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Main Hospital

About the role

This position produces radiographic images for medical interpretation and works closely with healthcare staff, patients, families, and visitors. The technologist is accountable for performing correct radiologic exams, delivering high‑quality images, and supervising others in the Hospital Diagnostic Radiology Department.

Key responsibilities

• Produces optimal X‑rays for medical interpretation and enters information into the Radiology Information System.
• Rotates through several modalities—including portable units, surgery, fluoroscopy, and the emergency department—performing X‑rays and training new residents on fluoroscopy procedures.
• Performs quality‑assurance checks to ensure high‑quality imaging.
• Communicates with patients, families, co‑workers, and physicians.

Required profile

• Graduated from a 2‑year certificate program certified by the ASRT in Radiology Technology.
• Registered or eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Licensed or eligible for a Arkansas Radiology Technology license.
• CPR certified.
