Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Main Hospital

About the role

The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist provides high-quality radiographic images for medical interpretation, collaborates with healthcare staff, patients, and families, and supervises imaging procedures within the Main Hospital’s Diagnostic Radiology Department.

Key responsibilities

• Produces optimal x‑rays for medical interpretation in the Hospital Diagnostic Radiology Department and enters information into the Radiology Information System.
• Rotates through several modalities, including portable units on floors, surgery, fluoroscopy, and the emergency department, performing X‑rays and training new residents on fluoroscopy procedures.
• Performs quality assurance of images and communicates with patients, families, co‑workers, and physicians.
• Continues education and learns new procedures on a day‑to‑day basis while performing other assigned duties.

Required profile

• Graduated from a 2‑year certificate program certified by the ASRT in Radiology Technology.
• Registered or eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Licensed or eligible for a license in Radiology Technology in the State of Arkansas.
• CPR certified.
