DevOps Engineer

About the role

Octus is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure for its credit intelligence products. The role works closely with developers, data engineers, SRE, security and IT teams to automate operations and ensure reliable, scalable, and secure systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test and deployment processes.
• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability, performance and cost‑effectiveness.
• Collaborate with SRE to develop monitoring and alerting systems.
• Work with security teams to enforce security best practices across infrastructure and applications.
• Partner with software developers to improve application performance and reliability.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Provide system support through on‑call rotation and incident resolution.
• Communicate project status, issues and recommendations to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a DevOps role.
• At least 2 years of experience with Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services (e.g., EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, ELB, EBS, VPC, Route53).
• Expert‑level proficiency with Linux.
• Strong scripting abilities for automation.
• Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and documenting incident root cause analysis.
• Good understanding of database configuration and maintenance.
• Thorough knowledge of security principles and implementation of controls.
