Deployment Success Engineer

About the role

Serval is an AI‑native automation platform helping enterprises replace manual processes with intelligent agents. As a Deployment Success Engineer on the Agent Deployment team, you will own the long‑term success of our customers, ensuring that the value delivered at deployment grows into adoption, expansion, and renewal.

Key responsibilities

• Own deployment production success and support, serving as the primary technical resource post‑sale, troubleshooting issues quickly and advocating for customer needs.
• Drive renewals and expansion by turning strong adoption into contract renewals and surfacing opportunities to deepen Serval’s footprint.
• Build systems that scale support, creating tooling, automation, and playbooks that let the team serve more customers without linear headcount growth.
• Ship product changes, modifying production code to fix bugs and add features that extend Serval’s capabilities for customers.
• Make customers self‑sufficient by running training sessions and producing documentation that enable full value extraction.

Required profile

• Startup experience in a customer‑facing or technical role.
• Strong technical foundation with the ability to read and troubleshoot production code in customer‑facing environments, analyzing code paths, database state, and API requests/responses.
• Eagerness to build, writing code and automation to create scalable systems rather than one‑off fixes.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑management skills, translating complex technical concepts for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Instinct for what drives outcomes (retention, adoption, expansion) and high agency in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments.
