Delivery Specialist II

About the role

The Delivery Specialist II provides pick‑up and delivery services across the Texas A&M University campus and local agencies in College Station. Working under supervision, you will ensure timely handling of mail, parcels, and other campus items while maintaining vehicle safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in rating, metering, and caging of mail in the meter room.
• Collect, sort, and prepare office products, parcels, inter‑campus mail, and custodial items for delivery.
• Train and coordinate student workers for mail handling tasks.
• Supervise and execute special mail pick‑ups, deliveries, and recycling of Texas A&M mail with USPS.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle, perform pre‑ and post‑trip checks, and ensure proper loading and unloading.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; one year of delivery experience.
• Valid Class “C” driver’s license (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• Familiarity with mail routes, bulk mail handling, and meter‑room procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of a postage computer for meter‑room tasks.
• Use of mail meter equipment.
• Safe operation and maintenance of a delivery vehicle.
