DeFi Strategist

About the role

Daylight is seeking a DeFi Strategist to lead the business development of its DayFi platform. You will shape the integration of energy‑backed yield products into the broader DeFi ecosystem and work closely with protocol, product, and marketing teams to drive liquidity and adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Own and scale DayFi’s DeFi‑native business development, targeting Layer‑1, Layer‑2, stablecoin, lending, and bridge integrations.
• Shape product design to improve liquidity, retention, and total value locked (TVL).
• Provide strategic input on the roadmap for core DeFi integrations and composability.
• Structure joint incentive programs, coordinate co‑marketing, and accelerate TVL growth with partners.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver seamless DeFi UX for minting, redemption, and other interactions.
• Work with marketing to articulate the value proposition of DayFi’s yield products to DeFi participants.

Required profile

• Deep familiarity with the DeFi ecosystem, including real‑world assets (RWAs), stablecoins, and money‑market protocols such as Aave and Morpho.
• Demonstrated understanding of advanced DeFi strategies like looping and fixed‑rate interest products.
• Strong network of protocol teams and DeFi power users, especially in stablecoin, RWA, lending, and market‑making spaces.
• Prior experience in business development or product strategy at an RWA protocol, lending protocol, stablecoin issuer, Layer‑1, or Layer‑2.
• Comfortable reasoning about smart‑contract logic and its implications.
