Dealer Relationship Manager – Auto Finance

About the role

Santander, a global leader in financial services, is seeking a Dealer Relationship Manager to join its auto‑finance team in Sacramento, CA. This outside‑sales position focuses on building strong partnerships with franchised and independent automotive dealerships, driving loan originations, and promoting Santander’s suite of financing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and nurture trusted relationships with automotive dealerships throughout the Sacramento territory.
• Promote and support Santander’s auto‑finance programs, OEM programs, small‑business and dealer commercial loan products, and digital services.
• Educate dealers on finance program guidelines, underwriting policies, and digital tools.
• Identify market trends and competitive activities to uncover growth opportunities.
• Maintain regular contact with dealership personnel via phone and email to understand needs and ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Credit and Funding teams to resolve dealer issues quickly.
• Communicate dealer performance KPIs to owners and management.

Required profile

• Reside within the assigned Sacramento sales territory.
• Experience in outside sales, preferably within automotive or financial services.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple dealer accounts and meet sales targets.
