About the role
The State of Georgia is hiring a Day Custodian for Athens Technical College. The position works Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing daily cleaning and maintenance of campus facilities.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and service all restrooms, empty trash twice daily.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum hallways, foyers, vending areas, and staircases.
- Place wet‑floor signs after mopping and ensure floors are safe.
- Maintain entryways, windows, interior and exterior mats, and remove debris such as spider webs and wasp nests.
- Restock paper towel dispensers, hand sanitizers, and other consumables.
- Perform additional custodial duties as assigned.
Required profile
- No prior experience required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in higher‑education custodial services is a plus.
