Data Enablement Lead (Hybrid Boston or Webster)

About the role

MAPFRE is looking for a Solutions Delivery Manager – Data Enablement Lead to drive adoption and operationalization of enterprise data governance, stewardship, and enablement capabilities. The role combines hands‑on data stewardship for assigned domains with leadership across business and technology teams to make governance actionable.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Data Steward for assigned business domains, maintaining trusted, well‑documented data and facilitating governance discussions.
• Drive adoption of enterprise metadata tools such as Collibra or Atlan, establishing standards, glossaries, and workflows.
• Partner with business and technology teams to improve data quality, lineage, and trust, and to resolve cross‑functional data issues.
• Embed governance, quality, and ownership requirements into data products and analytics solutions.
• Lead workshops and cross‑functional initiatives to define business terms, data standards, and quality expectations.
• Manage governance initiatives, risks, and delivery outcomes while developing reporting and scorecards.
• Evaluate emerging metadata‑management capabilities to continuously improve the data ecosystem.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Data Management, Analytics or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in data governance, stewardship, data management or related disciplines, preferably in property & casualty insurance.
• Proven ability to work directly with business stakeholders, data owners, and technology teams.
• Strong understanding of data‑governance operating models, metadata management, business glossaries, lineage and data‑quality practices.
• Experience driving adoption of governance practices across multiple business domains.
• Hands‑on SQL coding experience to query, analyze and validate complex datasets.
