Data Analyst – Markets & Strategy

About the role

Sungrow USA is seeking a Data Analyst to support research and analysis for the photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) markets. The analyst will work closely with commercial and strategy teams to turn internal and external data into actionable insights for the U.S. renewable energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design internal market research reports, interpret key metrics, highlight takeaways and propose next steps.
• Conduct research on the American energy markets and report information that could impact the industry.
• Develop and manage databases and pipeline data to support cross‑departmental operations.
• Become a subject‑matter expert on internal data tools, collaborate with data partners, and maximize platform usage.
• Build and maintain dashboards, identify missing data, and reorganize existing data for clearer presentation.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis.
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
• PowerPoint for presenting findings.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as R or Python (preferred).
• Experience with data‑visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI (preferred).
• Ability to work with large data sets.
