Cycle Technician – Retail Bike Service

About the role

Halfords is looking for a Cycle Technician who loves bikes and enjoys helping customers find their perfect ride. You will work in a busy store environment, delivering high‑quality service and repair for a wide range of bicycles, including kids, adult, performance and electric models.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, building and repair of all cycle types.
• Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical issues on e‑bikes.
• Provide expert advice to customers on bike maintenance and upgrades.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop area.
• Support and train fellow team members in technical procedures.
• Help achieve store sales targets through upselling parts and accessories.

Required profile

• Passion for bicycles and strong customer‑focused attitude.
• Experience in a retail or cycle‑service environment is preferred.
• Ability to work on a rota, including weekends.
• Good communication skills and a practical problem‑solving approach.
