Cybersecurity Strategy and Communications Lead

About the role

The Cybersecurity Strategy and Communications Lead will support the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and the broader Cybersecurity organization at 3M. This role designs and executes communication strategies that raise visibility and understanding of the Information Security Risk and Compliance (ISRC) program across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary communications advisor to the CISO, crafting messaging for executive committees, senior leadership, and governance forums.
• Create high‑impact PowerPoint presentations that convey cybersecurity strategy, risk posture, and organizational progress.
• Lead end‑to‑end ISRC communications services, including content development, planning, and distribution for internal audiences.
• Manage the communications calendar, coordinate review workflows, and ensure branding alignment.
• Oversee temporary and offshore communications staff, providing business justification for resource needs.
• Build and maintain engaging Cybersecurity and Security Awareness portal pages aligned with messaging standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate communications, preferably within cybersecurity or risk management.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise messages for senior audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple communication projects and deadlines.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams and external resources.

Required skills
