Cybersecurity Specialist 2 – Georgia Enterprise Technology Services

About the role

The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist 2 to join the Office of Information Security within the Georgia Enterprise Technology Services (GETS) program. This position supports statewide security, risk, and compliance initiatives across a broad network of state agencies and local government entities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and implementing cybersecurity policies, procedures, and risk‑management standards.
• Support governance functions and cross‑functional security efforts related to system operations within the GETS framework.
• Collaborate with Service Tower Providers, agencies, and the Multi‑Sourcing Service Integrator to ensure alignment with strategic risk‑management goals.
• Manage high‑complexity enterprise security projects and issues that span multiple technical areas.
• Oversee efficient delivery of security services for GTA and its customers, including oversight of managed services provided by external vendors.

Required profile

• Experience in cybersecurity, risk management, or information security within a large‑scale IT environment.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies and service providers.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to address complex security challenges.
