Cyber Security Analyst (1-2 Years Experience)

About the role
AaraTech Inc is looking for a motivated Cyber Security Analyst with 1–2 years of experience to join its security operations team. The role supports monitoring, threat analysis, and incident response in a regulated environment, working closely with IT, engineering, and compliance groups.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and triage security alerts from SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS and other tools.
- Investigate potential incidents, document findings, and assist with containment and remediation.
- Perform log analysis, threat detection, root‑cause analysis and support vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application and compliance teams on security initiatives.
- Assist with access reviews, IAM, privilege monitoring and implementation of security controls.
- Participate in incident response exercises, post‑incident reviews and audit support (HIPAA, NIST, ISO, SOC 2, etc.).
- Maintain security documentation, runbooks, procedures and evidence.
- Prepare clear summaries of findings and metrics for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Required profile
- 1–2 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, IT security or a related analytical role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of networking, operating systems and common threat vectors.
- Basic understanding of the incident response lifecycle and security monitoring.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, HIPAA.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
