Customer Service Representative

About the role

Paragon Technologies, a SunSource company, delivers world‑class service, repair and remanufacturing for electronics, hydraulics, robotics and mechanical components. The Customer Service Representative will maximise customer satisfaction and contribution margins by accurately processing orders, pricing and delivery requests, handling returns and order status inquiries, and coordinating internal resources to meet customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Process inbound customer calls regarding order status, pricing, product availability and delivery schedules.
• Develop a basic understanding of the buying process for OEM and MRO customers and maintain knowledge of assigned accounts.
• Use SunSource’s procedures and tools to create orders, quotes, returns, navigate the pricing system and interpret pricing structures.
• Coordinate resources such as technical support, warehousing, finance, service, fabrication and purchasing to fulfill customer requirements.
• Apply basic knowledge of SunSource technology and service offerings to support customers effectively.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of industrial repair or distribution experience.
• At least two years of customer service experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proven problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to identify incremental selling opportunities within existing orders and collaborate with outside sales.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Experience using email for customer communication.
• Familiarity with vendor pricing programs.
