Customer Service (Biometric Enrollment) Specialist - On Call

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Customer Service (Biometric Enrollment) Specialist for its USCIS Application Support Center office. You will welcome applicants pursuing legal immigration to the United States and guide them through their biometrics appointment, which includes identity verification and biometric capture. The position is casual on-call: you must be available five days a week, Monday to Friday, 7:45am to 4:15pm, for substitute coverage as needed, and hours are not guaranteed.

Key responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration, including capturing electronic fingerprints, photographs and signatures within program-wide processing times.
• Ensure only approved applicants and visitors enter the center, using crowd-control barriers and visually inspecting applicants and their belongings.
• Provide front-line customer service and screen applicants for a valid appointment notice and identification.
• Safeguard personal identifiable information, including applicant paperwork, identification and electronic biometric data.
• Perform periodic facility checks and report concerns to the Site Supervisor; assist the Site Supervisor or immigration officer in contacting law enforcement or first responders when necessary.
• Handle administrative paperwork such as tracking processing times, reconciling biometrics captured, and maintaining a visitor control log.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• US citizenship, required to obtain and maintain facility credentials at this location.
• Ability to speak and write in English; a foreign language is desired.
• Ability to stand for the shift duration, hold applicants' hands to take fingerprints, and work in a fast-paced public-facing environment.
• Successful completion of biometrics training and certification within 60 days.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills, including typing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials.
