Custodian – Hall Campus (Full-time)

About the role

The Hall Campus of Lanier Technical College is seeking a full‑time Custodian to maintain clean and safe facilities for students, staff, and visitors. This non‑exempt, benefits‑eligible position works a 40‑hour week on a 2 pm – 12 midnight schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and bathroom sanitation.
• Empty trash, move tables and chairs, and set up spaces for campus events.
• Operate specialized equipment including vacuum, buffing machines, carpet shampoo machines, and hand tools.
• Follow safety procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and machinery.

Required profile

• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Capability to complete assigned tasks thoroughly and on time.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, lift light and heavy objects, and use tools safely.
• Basic computer literacy for job‑related software.

Required skills

• Operation of vacuum and buffing machines.
• Use of computer and job‑related software programs.

What we offer

• Salary range $31,000 – $32,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
