CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) – PRN

About the role

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will provide anesthesia care for surgical, obstetric and other pain‑producing procedures in Monroe, Louisiana. Working under physician supervision, the CRNA collaborates with residents, fellows, attendings and nursing staff to ensure safe and effective anesthesia delivery on a PRN (as‑needed) basis.

Key responsibilities

• Document patient procedures, incidents and anesthesia records.
• Assess patients before, during and after anesthesia administration.
• Deliver anesthesia safely following accepted practice techniques.
• Serve as liaison among surgeons, anesthesiologists, co‑workers, patients and families.
• Participate in quality‑assurance initiatives and professional development activities.
• Adapt communication and care approach to diverse patient populations.
• Perform additional related duties as required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree from an AANA‑accredited nurse‑anesthesia program.
• Active APRN license in the state of practice.
• Certification through the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and on‑call assignments.

Required skills

• Computer proficiency for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Experience with Windows‑style applications and keyboard navigation.
