Critical Care RN – Part‑Time Night Shift (7 PM‑7 AM)

About the role

Ochsner Health seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Acadia General ICU on a part‑time night schedule (7 PM‑7 AM). The RN will lead patient care using the nursing process, uphold professional standards, and contribute to the unit’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.
• Assess learning needs of patients and families and provide appropriate education.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.
• Analyze data and outcomes to drive improvements in patient care.
• Adapt communication and care approaches to respect cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior work experience required.
• Certification in a clinical specialty area is a plus.

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Ability to analyze data to evaluate and improve patient outcomes.
