Criminal Justice Instructor

About the role

The Criminal Justice Instructor will join a higher‑education institution to deliver undergraduate and possibly graduate courses in criminal justice. The role involves designing curriculum, advising students, and contributing to the academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned criminal justice classes using systematic, planned instruction.
• Design and develop course curricula, syllabi, and instructional materials.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate classroom instruction and learning outcomes.
• Review and revise course objectives and materials in collaboration with faculty.
• Serve as an academic advisor, supporting student recruitment, retention, and progress.
• Participate in institutional committees and professional development activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and grades.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Criminal Justice or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Criminal Justice.
• Previous law‑enforcement experience is preferred but not mandatory.
