Credit Intelligence Reporter – Private Markets

About the role

Gain is expanding its Intelligence Origination team into credit, seeking a Credit Reporter to source proprietary, transaction‑level credit intelligence for private‑equity related deals. The role focuses on capturing high‑quality, structured data rather than producing editorial content, feeding Gain’s real‑time platform used by top investors worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a trusted network of off‑record sources such as lenders, investment bankers, private‑equity sponsors, advisors and lawyers.
• Conduct daily confidential conversations to uncover non‑public credit information on live and announced transactions.
• Ensure accurate, timely capture of proprietary data points and transform them into clean, machine‑readable formats.
• Collaborate closely with in‑house analysts and research teams to guarantee data completeness, consistency and structured delivery.
• Support the growth of Gain’s real‑time transaction tracker and contribute to internal market‑intelligence sharing.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of professional experience with strong knowledge of private credit, leveraged finance, M&A and private‑equity markets.
• Proven ability to develop high‑trust relationships with financial‑industry professionals.
• Excellent analytical mindset and attention to detail for data quality.
