Credit Analyst – Structured Lending & Advisory

About the role

The Credit Analyst will support the Vice President and Chief Credit Officer in the lending function of New York Private Finance LLC, a subsidiary of Emigrant Bank that underwrites and manages private‑equity‑backed loans. The role involves financial modeling, due diligence, and preparation of credit documentation for structured loan transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Attend and assist in loan prospect and client meetings.
• Conduct due‑diligence investigations, collect and log materials, and perform industry, economic and credit risk research.
• Create financial models and analyses of borrowers and collateral to support credit decisions.
• Prepare drafts of term sheets, credit memoranda, and review credit documents and schedules.
• Participate in collateral definition, appraisal processes, and internal credit meetings.
• Support advisory services by developing client recommendations, presentations, and assisting at client meetings.
• Assist business development officers with new client generation and production of prospect communications and pitch materials.
