Crane Operator – Level I, II, III (US$450-650/day)

About the role
As a Crane Operator (Level I, II, or III) at Curtin Maritime you will operate floating cranes and mechanical dredges, ensuring safe and efficient handling, lifting, and movement of materials and equipment on marine projects.
Key responsibilities
- Operate cranes in accordance with safe operating procedures and regulatory standards.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
- Safely lift, transport, and position materials as directed by supervisors or signalers.
- Communicate with crew members using hand signals or two‑way radios.
- Develop and execute critical lift plans and train lower‑level operators (for Level II/III).
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle stressful situations.
- Physical ability to lift 40 lb, climb ladders, work at heights, and swim.
- Commitment to safety, chain‑of‑command respect, and proactive ownership.
Required skills
- NCCCO License with LBC endorsements.
- TWIC Card and MMC (Ordinary Seaman) certification.
- Qualified rigger with experience operating crawler or pedestal‑mounted cranes.
- Ability to read load charts, lift plans, and perform rigging techniques.
