Cost Engineer / Estimator (Remote)

About the role

Crystalia Glass LLC is seeking a remote Cost Engineer‑Estimator to join its growing team. You will work closely with sales and design teams to translate architectural drawings into accurate quotes for glass, aluminum, and steel partition systems.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural and shop drawings to determine suitable installation options.
• Perform precise quantity take‑offs for door and partition openings.
• Read and interpret door schedules, hardware sets, and related specifications.
• Communicate project scope, technical requirements, and deadlines with the sales team.
• Request and verify compliance documentation and regulatory certifications.
• Prepare detailed quotes outlining materials, scope, exclusions, and assumptions.
• Identify and correct technical errors in sales proposals and suggest alternatives.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Strong spatial thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven experience with quantity take‑offs from construction and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to read civil, mechanical drawings and hardware layouts.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Fluent Russian and upper‑intermediate English (B2) with full‑time availability aligned to EST.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (basic formulas).
• Quantity take‑off calculations.
• Interpretation of civil and mechanical drawings.
• Hardware set and layout interpretation.
• Working with scaled PDFs in Adobe Acrobat.
