Corporate Security Engineer

About the role

Cape is building America’s most private mobile carrier and needs a Security Engineer to protect its corporate environment. You will partner with IT, engineering and business teams to design, implement and manage security controls across identity, endpoint, network and data assets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage security policies for corporate IT systems, focusing on confidentiality, integrity and availability.
• Own and mature IAM/SSO/MFA, endpoint security (EDR, MDM) and email/network security (phishing defense, DLP, firewalls, VPN).
• Conduct security assessments of internal systems and third‑party vendors, providing remediation recommendations.
• Manage the vulnerability management lifecycle: scanning, prioritization, patching and closure tracking.
• Lead security awareness and phishing simulation programs to foster a security‑first culture.
• Support compliance and audit activities, and respond to penetration‑test and red‑team findings.
• Investigate security incidents and insider‑threat concerns in collaboration with HR, Legal and IT.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate/IT security covering identity, endpoint and network domains.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, Security+ or CISM are a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to work across teams.

• Identity and Access Management (IAM), SSO and MFA platforms.
• Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools.
• Email and network security technologies: phishing defense, DLP, firewalls, VPN.
• Vulnerability scanning and remediation processes.
• Scripting/automation using Python or shell scripting.
• Network security, encryption technologies and secure system configuration.
• Security assessment, penetration testing and red‑team coordination.
