Corporate Lawyer – Legal Counsel Expert

About the role

EcoVadis is seeking a seasoned Corporate Lawyer to join its Legal Team as a Legal Counsel Expert. You will act as a trusted advisor, supporting transactional, compliance, and governance matters across the organization while helping the company drive sustainable business practices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and serve as lead lawyer on a variety of legal requests.
• Guide the Sales team on contract risks, commercial solutions, and appropriate legal approaches.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements such as SaaS contracts, NDAs, addenda, and termination letters.
• Maintain contract templates, manage internal approval workflows, and coordinate with insurance brokers.
• Deliver training sessions to the Americas Sales Team on legal topics.
• Monitor regulatory developments, assess implications, and advise on required actions.
• Coordinate external counsel support as needed.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA‑accredited law school.
• Active U.S. law license.
• At least 10 years of U.S. transactional practice, including 3+ years negotiating SaaS agreements.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to tailor legal advice to diverse audiences.
