Corporate & Investment Banking Trade & Working Capital Sales Associate

About the role

Santander is seeking an Associate to join its Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Trade & Working Capital Sales team. The role focuses on originating, structuring, and executing trade finance mandates for corporate clients across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and sell innovative GTB solutions to new‑to‑bank corporate clients.
• Act as a secondary banker and product specialist for GTB trade and working capital products.
• Serve as the primary advisor for clients’ ongoing GTB needs, managing the journey from sales through implementation.
• Maintain and grow the client portfolio, ensuring alignment with the bank’s credit risk appetite.
• Adhere to internal processes to guarantee control and transparency over sales activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade finance and working capital sales to corporates.
• Proven ability to develop new‑to‑bank relationships and manage existing client relationships.
• Strong understanding of corporate banking and the ability to engage with senior corporate stakeholders.
