Controls Technician – $35.48/hr + Shift Differential

About the role

As a PLC Controls Technician at Bosch, you will design, program, troubleshoot and maintain PLC‑controlled systems using Siemens S7 and TIA Portal. You will support manufacturing operations through advanced diagnostics, system improvements and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, program and maintain PLC systems in line with corporate standards.
• Develop and support HMI applications for manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex automation issues, determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Modify PLC programs and manage interface communications with industrial devices.
• Diagnose and resolve vision‑system issues (Cognex, Keyence) and servo‑drive problems (Rexroth, Siemens).
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and operations teams to improve equipment performance.
• Provide feedback to engineering on recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to identify root causes.
• Working knowledge of PLC programming languages (IEC 61131‑3) including Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Structured Control Language, Statement List and GRAPH.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with vision systems (Cognex, Keyence) and servo‑drive platforms (Rexroth, Siemens).
