Controls Technical Specialist I – Industrial Automation

As a Controls Technical Specialist I you will troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance PLC and PC‑based automation systems at Nestlé’s dry pet‑food manufacturing plant near Oklahoma City.

Key responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing and repairing PLC hardware and software, HMI/SCADA interfaces, and instrumentation.
• Executing PLC upgrades, wiring modifications, and supporting production line changes in collaboration with the maintenance team.
• Managing plant and capital projects from concept through completion.
• Maintaining up‑to‑date as‑built electrical and controls documentation.
• Coordinating control system software upgrades and performing network and data administration for PC‑based control equipment.

Required profile:

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of PLC/HMI experience, OR Associate’s Degree in a technical field with 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Willingness to work day shifts with on‑call duties and occasional weekend or holiday work.

Required skills:

• PLC troubleshooting and upgrades
• PC‑based HMI/SCADA support
• Network administration for control systems
• Interpretation of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
