Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the role

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will drive operational enhancements at our Columbia, PA facility, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and innovation. You will lead Lean initiatives and embed continuous improvement into daily plant activities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify improvement opportunities through data collection, observation, and maintaining a funnel of events.
• Facilitate and coach Kaizen events, guiding cross‑functional teams before, during, and after activities.
• Partner with functional leaders and frontline teams to improve daily management metrics.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to implement solutions.
• Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Assist with equipment‑related improvement and maintenance projects and share best practices across the company‑wide CI network.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2–4 years of manufacturing experience with exposure to continuous improvement concepts such as Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, data‑driven decision making, and effective communication across all organization levels.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Lean tools: 5S, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Kanban.
• Problem‑solving methodologies and daily management techniques.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and basic statistical tools.
• Experience with project management or quality management systems.
