Construction Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Superintendent leads all on‑site activities for industrial or utility projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget are met. You will coordinate crews, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce customer, governmental, and corporate safety standards; conduct daily safety analyses.
• Develop, adjust, and execute work plans, managing scheduling, staffing, and resources.
• Control project budgets, track expenses, and prepare cost estimates.
• Maintain quality by following specifications, drawings, and applicable codes.
• Communicate progress and issues to customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Interpret contract terms to avoid disputes and ensure compliance.
• Identify challenges early and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise crew activities, fostering teamwork and accountability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in industrial or utility construction management.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods for the relevant project types.
• Excellent decision‑making, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Completion of OSHA 30‑Hour Construction Safety Training (or within 30 days of hire).
• Preferred: NCCCO Rigger Level II certification.
