Construction Superintendent – Field Operations

About the role

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Superintendent to lead daily field operations on communication network projects across North America. You will be responsible for delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all construction activities follow approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, building codes, and quality standards, including PQP requirements and testing.
• Champion site safety by enforcing corporate and regulatory standards, leading safety meetings, and supporting the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP).
• Monitor short‑term schedules, estimate activity durations and material needs, and track progress to meet milestones.
• Direct field staff, coordinate labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources to achieve safety, schedule, and quality goals.
• Supervise craft workers and subcontractors, providing guidance and maintaining accountability.
• Manage procurement tasks such as preparing purchase requisitions and reviewing supplier and subcontractor invoices.

Required profile

• 1‑5 years of construction experience in a supervisory or lead‑hand role.
• Two‑year college, trade, or technical diploma preferred.
• Understanding of current construction practices, documents, costs, and budgets.
• Ability to plan and manage project schedules and develop solutions within defined guidelines.
• Effective communication and strong organizational skills.
• Physical ability to perform site work, including lifting up to 50 lb and working in various weather conditions.
• Military experience equivalent to 12N Horizontal Construction Engineer or 12H Construction Engineering Supervisor is a plus.
