Construction Superintendent / Construction Manager

About the role

Artheon is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent / Construction Manager to oversee projects from planning and pre‑construction through closeout in New York. The role requires coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, consultants and agency representatives while ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety and contract requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate projects from planning through construction, closeout and turnover.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, agency representatives and facility personnel.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety and contract compliance.
• Conduct regular site visits, track construction progress and evaluate contractor performance.
• Lead pre‑construction, progress, coordination and punch‑list meetings.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings and schedules.
• Evaluate contractor proposals, estimates, pay applications, change orders and claims.
• Identify and address schedule, cost, quality, safety and constructability issues.
• Maintain accurate project records, meeting minutes, reports and closeout documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, project management, construction management, engineering or general contracting.
• Hands‑on experience with building demolition and ground‑up (new) construction projects.
• Experience with public‑sector capital construction projects is highly desirable.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
